About Kristin
Hi, I’m Kristin — a curious and compassionate Paediatric Occupational Therapist dedicated to helping children, and families grow with confidence, connection, and joy. I take a holistic, trauma-informed approach that honours the nervous system, sensory processing, relationships, and the unique story each child brings. My work is rooted in the belief that every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported as they develop the foundational skills they need to thrive in everyday life.
I bring a playful, authentic energy to my sessions, helping children build resilience, regulation, and independence through meaningful experiences that feel engaging and empowering. I value somatic and sensory integration as powerful pathways for growth, and I often work within school and community settings to support children in familiar environments where they feel most comfortable and confident.
Whether I’m working with young children or adolescents, I believe in walking alongside families as partners in the process. I take time to attune to each child’s needs and truly listen to the goals and values of their family, offering practical support and strategies that feel achievable and meaningful. My focus is always on building trust, strengthening relationships, and supporting children to grow in ways that align with their unique strengths and challenges.
What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational Therapy (OT) helps children do the everyday things they need and want to do – like playing, learning, making friends, and becoming more independent at home and school.
For kids, their “occupations” are things like:
Getting dressed and brushing their teeth
Holding a pencil and writing at school
Playing with toys or on the playground
Focusing in class and managing big feelings
Making friends and joining in with others
Occupational Therapists work with children and their families to build the skills they need to grow, learn, and enjoy life. Every child is different, so we take the time to understand what’s tricky for them and help find ways to make those things easier.
Sometimes this means working on how their body moves, how they process what they see and feel, or how they cope with change or frustration. We use fun, play-based activities to support their development and confidence.
